Where to transfer for aerospace engineering?

I'm a student at a community college and want to transfer to well ranked school for aeronautical engineering, but not a super elite school like MIT or anything because I wouldn't get in. I have a 3.4/3.5 and will have all of the requirements i need by the time i transfer. I've been looking at Texas A&M, Purdue, Virginia Tech, and cal poly slo but I'm not quite sure what kind of grades you need to get in to any of those. Any suggestions? Thanks

Websites for the individual departments/schools will show you what kind of gpa you’ll need to get in.

A bigger issue is whether any of the schools you’re looking at will even take an out-of-state transfer from a community college. Usually, the easiest transfers from cc’s to state u’s are done within the given state.

Also, if you go to a University out of state you could pay a boatload of money. Usually it is cheaper to go in-state.

Yea I’m willing to pay the extra out of state tuition as long as it’s a highly ranked school. Also I checked on the gpa for most of these schools and pretty much all of them just say a minimum of 3.0 for engineering, but don’t give any specifics.

if they want a 3.0 for engineering you should be fine, just keep working on keeping those grades up while you can.

Anyways, as a starting point, here are some of the best aerospace engineering programs according to US News:

Colleges That Offer Undergraduate And Graduate Aerospace Programs:
1 Massachusetts Institute of Technology Cambridge, MA
2 Georgia Institute of Technology Atlanta, GA
3 University of Michigan–Ann Arbor Ann Arbor, MI
4 Purdue University–West Lafayette West Lafayette, IN
5 California Institute of Technology Pasadena, CA
6 University of Illinois–Urbana-Champaign Champaign, IL
7 Stanford University Stanford, CA
8 University of Texas–Austin Austin, TX
9 University of Maryland–College Park College Park, MD
10 Virginia Tech Blacksburg, VA

Colleges That Only Offer Undergraduate Aerospace Engineering:
1 Embry Riddle Aeronautical University Daytona Beach, FL
2 United States Air Force Academy USAF Academy, CO
3 Embry Riddle Aeronautical University–Prescott Prescott, AZ
4 United States Naval Academy Annapolis, MD
5 California Polytechnic State University–San Luis Obispo San Luis Obispo, CA

I think you could definitely be a transfer candidate at Virginia Tech or Purdue or Embry Riddle

The questions are following:

What’s your overall transferable GPA?

What’s your transferable math/science GPA?

If you have over 3.5 for both, you got very good chance at Georgia Tech.

My overall transferable gpa is 3.4/3.5 and my Math/physics/chem gpa is around 3.1
