I still haven’t received any sort of confirmation of getting my ED application.

At my school, we have to give all materials, including essays and apps to be filled out by student, to the GC and they mail them. I gave them to them around october 10-15th. I know they didn’t mail it until the very last minute because there the worst, most apathetic guidance office ever. anyway, my school is less than 2 miles from Penn and I still haven’t got anything.

Dont worry about it bro, if UPenn didnt send you a blue, green or yellow postcard that means you are automatically accepted; they are just having a hard time printing out the rainbow coloured postcards that says YOU ARE IN.

I didnt get my confirmation postcard either. I mailed my application on October 29th and didnt hear a word from them ever since; maybe it is because I am in Canada. I do know that students who apply online got their confirmation fastest. A few of my buddies who applied online are already going to interviews, while I am still home stalking my mailman with binoculars (yeah, I think he is in on this one).

Anyways, I think we are dealing with alphabetical orders here so just hang in there.

Yeah Americans don't really care about hockey or NHL. While Americans are fighting over which colour to paint their state in, we Canadians are fighting over who have the largest ice castle. Oh wait that has nothing to do with hockey. Yeah as I was saying, my life is miserable because of the NHL lockout. So instead of watching hockey like what I used to do every year, now I am writing useless shjt on a university application website full of the most humble students in from the Good olUSofA.

many of the NHL stars are playing in Russia (and other European countries) now....thats pimp - when i move there, ill be able to watch great hockey where it is actually appreciated

Yeah, I am applying to Universities in England, so if I don't get into Penn, I'll be on my way to Europe, but the problem is all the NHL'er are moving back home next year (hopefully).

Nope. Overnight Express mail. Two days later, I got like two letters (actually, three, one was a repeat for some weird reason), and then, I got the card. Sent it Nov.01

i sent in my part one sometime in mid october and did my interview a week or two ago. I got a postcard that they received part one a week or two ago, but haven't received the postcard that says the app is complete

I have not been called for an interview...which is bothering me quite a bit. Any one know what happens if we don't get an interview? I know they don't count for much, but I still want one!!

I want to get my stupid confirmation so bad I checked the mail twice today. Once getting home from high school and one getting home from my college class.

And then I realized it was a national holiday!

hey chocoman dont worry...i havent gotten my conf yet and my friends who applied have! i called penn today and they said that theyre still processing the apps in the computer and that i should wait until tuesday to see if i get...and then call...they sounded kinda ****y cuz i guess theyve been getting lots of frantic fonecalls.

which confirmation is supposed to have arrived by tuesday? part one or that the entirea pplication is complete (apparently these are the two postcards - correct me if im wrong)

Okay. Here is what I know. I got like two letters (one was a repeat, so total of three), and a card. You get one from the college saying they've got your materials and gives you the pin number and crap. Another one if you are applying to any joint-degree program. And then, I got the blue card that says, "We got your entire app, but its still your responsibility to get us the test scores blah blah blah...we'll send you another post card if your app isn't complete by sometime...".
