I have one class left to choose for my senior year schedule, and I'm currently undecided between AP Statistics and AP European History. Here is the situation:

AP Stat
Pros:
-can get me out of taking Statistics in college
-is a relatively easy class at my school
Cons:
-the class seems and sounds REALLY boring
-would require me to take the AP exam since I want credit for college

AP Euro
Pros:
-seems way more appealing than AP Stat (lectures all day that I can sleep through)
-good teacher (I've had him before, and he's the only AP Euro teacher)
-no need to take the AP exam (since I don't really need a Euro credit for college)
Cons:
-harder class that AP Stat
-probably won't use 99% of what I learn in AP Euro in my future (since I won't study anything history-related in college)

I would go with AP stats since you can receive college credit and it’s really not that difficult to get a 5 in. I personally find AP Euro to be rather burdensome due to all the reading, writing, and memorizing required. Also, if you don’t plan on studying anything history-related, it is essentially useless.

Stats. Euro is the harder of the two and will be less useful in the future.

AP Stat was my original decision too, but I can’t get over the fact that the class seems SO BORING. I tend to enjoy history classes because you’re learning stories (for lack of a better word) rather than crunching numbers or something. I’m not bad at math, I just don’t enjoy it as much as just sitting back during history lectures and pretending to pay attention :). Not to mention the fact that I’m taking AP Calculus too, so if I take AP Stat, that’ll be twice the boredom!
