My first choice school sent me an application, but I would like to have an extra just in case.( I'm just not sure if they will send another one even though I requested it. ) So, On their website there is the same application that I can print out. Are they the same thing, or is the online PDF application just for "show"?

Also, I started an online application before I received the paper application, but I noticed that the online application doesn't have the same options as the paper application. Along with fewer options, I don't have to send an application fee or a personal statement. I want the school to know as much as possible about me and I feel as though the online application would not provide that. What do you all suggest I do?

Thanks.

Can I ask which school this is? The online application should be exactly the same as the paper application. You will definitely have to send in an application fee as well as a personal statement---- for the common application, the application fee has to be submitted separately under a different tab, if I remember correctly, and there is definitely a personal statement on the common app as well. Also, the personal statement from the paper app that you have mentioned which seems to be absent from the online version may perhaps be a part of the school’s “supplement” instead, which you also have to access and complete separately when applying online.

I would think they should be the same. However, I think most colleges prefer that you apply online.
