Which Business Major is the "Safest"?

Hi College Confidential,

I had a question about multiple business majors. When I go to college, I originally had in mind to major in "Interdisciplinary Business Management", which is the most general business major at my planned college. I've heard good things about a business major, but also bad things. Is a business major a good idea? Or would it be a better idea to major in Business Economics or Finance? Any help or advice on these majors like large employment rate, etc. would be fantastic. If you'd like to see which majors I'm talking about you can look more in-depth at them here under the "Business" section: http://miamioh.edu/academics/majors-minors/majors-by-subject.html

Thank you!

Finance or Business Econ.

Actually, accounting over the two above.

I appreciate the reply, but could you give me info on why you believe those are better? Thank you

Here is a page with statistics for employment regarding individuals with a Miami University Graduate Business Degree: https://www.fsb.miamioh.edu/fsb/content/about/class-profile/2012-classprofile.pdf

I’m guessing that for the undergraduate business degree from the same university, the salary figures would be lower, but the ratios would stay similar.
