Which calculator for AB + BC?

get the 84+ silver

Remember, TI isn’t the only brand.

If you’re used to a Casio scientific calculator, you will RAGE against a TI. (I regret buying my TI-84+. I only use it when absolutely necessary, and bring two calculators to all tests so I can avoid using it unless I have to.) Casios are often cheaper.

You should also consider HP. The HP-50g is a bit less user friendly than TI (but you can turn RPN off) but is more powerful, and the same price.

Again, TI is horribly overrated. Don’t buy it unless you have and LOVE your TI scientific, or your teacher forces you to.

I’d get a ti-89. I have it and it’s great. For the ACT I bought a used ti-82 off ebay for $10. It’s basically the same thing as a ti-83 in terms of functionality.

TI-83+ and 84+ are very similar. I’m not sure about the TI-89, but a lot of what they teach in schools supplements the 83/84. An 83+ should be fine.
