I’m fairly new to the forums and I have a bit of a dilemma. I am a freshman in college and not sure which direction I should go in career wise. It’s a tie breaker between computers and law. I am adept at computer science as well as writing. I know that a computer science degree would make me much more employable but I feel as though the work would be dull. If I were to pursue a law degree it would be from a tier one institution as I know the job prospects are slim. Could someone, preferably going into one of these fields/with experience, give me some insight?
I’m probably not the expert you’re looking for, but I just had to state a comment about what you said that computer science’s works would be dull. If you ask me, nowadays people pursuing this course or those who’re already professionals have one of the most challenging jobs. Just imagine keeping up with the trends of technologies.
Also, just imagine asian countries which actually soar high on when it comes to professions like comp sci and the likes
These directions are not mutually exclusive. Major in computer science. Then go to law school. CS is great preparation for a legal career. You can go into computer law, intellectual property, computer security law, etc.
