Definitely German R5B. Those classes go super fast.

Chem 1A for the lab time since it is a 4 hour block and it can cause havoc if you phase 2 it and you don’t get the time that fits your original schedule.

chem1a and german r5b.

I agree with the others on Chem 1a and German r5b. German r&c courses are known to be easy so they will fill up quickly.

what about me?
chem 3b/l
bio 1b
nst 10
pmb 13

Bio 1B, Chem 3BL, and one of your 4 or less unit classes…

And me -
chem 4b
physics 7b
math 54
L&S160

I’m guessing the first two?

Definitely sign up for physics if you can, since there’s no waitlist and it fills up like crazy. Chem 4B you’d probably be fine holding off until Phase II, which is what I did - if you’re in CoC, they have to let you in anyway, and there are usually multiple time slots each day for labs. If L&S 160 is one of those easy discovery courses that fulfills a breadth requirement, it might fill up faster.

Just check the schedule the days leading up to your appointment to see which fills faster. And most math classes end up taking most of the people from the waitlist, since so many people drop in the first few weeks. If you can’t get into a math discussion time that doesn’t conflict with your schedule, just sign up for it anyway. You can try and switch later, or your GSI might be teaching another section at a different time that you could attend instead.

What about taking a language?
I plan on taking:

German 1
UGBA 10
Ethnic Studies 21AC
Optometry C10

I know for sure I’m phase 1-ing ethnic studies, but after that I’m not quite sure. I think UGBA 10 I can phase 2 because it’s a huge class.

^
hmm ur taking optometry c10?
im debating that or nst 10.
any suggestions?

How about me? Math 1B, German R5A, E10, ESPM 50AC, probably Physics 7a

@little cal bear: german r5a, espm 50ac
… you want to take 5 classes…?

to pickles44:

About UGBA10, I was thinking the same thing, but it gets mentioned in the DailyCal as having an average waitlist of 150, though with the new Tele-Bears system, this was reduced to 42. Still, that’s a long enough list that you might not want to Phase 2 it. Just a thought.

oh man what about me?

math 53
psych 1
music 26 ac
korean 10bx

Me too please!
Should I phase 1 Math 1B or a really easy breadth that will probably fill up in phase 2?

phase I the really easy breadth

math takes in like everyone

Me too! Im taking which should I phase 1??
