Which college has the highest transfer rate? and class suggestions please?

FWIW, Arts & Sciences matriculated 79 transfer students Fall '08, and another 15 in the Spring. The Spring # was out of approximately 100 applicants.

Incorrect. As others have said, the acceptance rates on that document are inflated by the inclusion of GTs.

Don’t quote me on this but back when I was applying, I heard that the non-GT transfer acceptance rates for the very competitive majors in CALS (AEM and biological sciences) were ~12-14%. There is no back door into Cornell.

Also, not every external transfer was initially rejected from Cornell. I applied to Cornell only as a transfer and got in the first and only time. My stats are upper 25% and likely would’ve gotten me in as a freshman. Regardless, it’s presumptuous and idiotic to insinuate that transfers are in any way academically weak.

I guess it’s a shame that they didn’t consult you. Cornell’s a better place for recognizing the importance of transfers and maintaining the infrastructure for their inclusion.
