Is the College of Natural Sciences hard to get into? Which are the most competitive?

most would say business is the hardest to get into, after that engineering.

The most competitive is either nursing, business, engineering, or pre-med (basically biology majors)...infact any of the pre-something tracks are going to be the most competitive.

I believe Natural Sciences is the same as liberal arts in their admissions - if you go to UT and want in, you're in.

If i am confused between engineering and business, should I apply to the business program so that I have a higher chance of getting in engineering ? I am planning to apply for spring 2007.

You should apply for the program you want to be in. If you don't get into that program, you will considered for your second choice, and then the College of Liberal Arts.

But you see i can't decide between business and engineering. Will it be easier to transfer from business to engineering or from engineering to business?

I believe it would be harder to transfer into business from engineering than vice versa

you're right, kcirsch...if you're in business, it's not as hard to transfer to engineering as the other way around.
