Which college is better for me?

Hi. I have made 2 or 3 posts on the college confidential forum about different majors and colleges. I now know I would like to major in psychology, and would like to work in advertising hopefully within the NHL because hockey is my favorite sport been playing for 12 or so years and I am 18. I was want to go to either Wisconsin or Minnesota an wanted to know which Coller would be better for me. I love hockey, like to go out and party occasionally on the weekends but not all the time, work hard in my school studies and jobs I have, watch any kind Of sport, like the snow, and am a very nice kid. I am at a community college in California with a 3.5 as of now but by the time I try and transfer fall2013 I hope I will get maybe a 3.7 but 3.5 is ok with me. So I just wanted to know if Wisconsin or Minnesota is better and if I have a chance at either of these schools with my grades?. Thanks

You need to sit down with the Transfer Counselor at your community college, and find out what kind of help and advice that person has for you. If he/she has no experience helping students transfer to colleges and universities out of state, he/she certainly has colleagues who do have that kind of experience.

Good luck!

Well I am not sure about transfer admissions but Wisconsin is the better school overall. Although keep in mind you can’t beat going to Minnesota if you love hockey.

You changed your major from Poly Sci and Business to Psych in 14 hours? What can your family afford?

I’ve haven’t even started taking core classes yet so i have not spent any money accept for my general education courses, i was trying to say i was thinking about the majors since i am taking gen ed courses i had to take psychology and i loved that class so i am deciding to major in it i am just a first year in college freshman
