Hey you guys. I'm a sophomore at high school and I'm wondering which college (academically speaking) is right for me? So I have a 3.6 GPA unweighted, and by the time I graduate I will have taken AP Music Theory, AP Physics, AP American History, AP Statistics, BC Calculus, AP French, AP Psychology and possibly AP Bio (still deciding on that one). I don't know what my SAT will be but I would estimate at about 2100, give or take. I am on the football team, wrestling team (I'm not looking for sports scholarships), in the school orchestra, have done volunteer work, I have work experience and I play tons of instruments outside of school. I am looking to go to a school that has both great economics and great mathematics programs. Money isn't really an issue so I'm not really looking for scholarships or financial aid. I was wondering with my stats, what colleges would be a good fit for me.

That’s way too broad of a choice to even begin sorting. Do you want a big state flagship or a small liberal arts college? Do you care about what part of the country you’d be living in for four years? Do you want a school with big-time athletics or someplace where nobody cares about the basketball team?

Think about what you want out of a college experience.

As I said I just want to know academically which colleges are a good fit for me. I am asking because next year I’m gonna be looking at colleges, and I need an idea of where to start. I don’t want to be looking at a school though has a nice campus and a good size of students not be a good fit academically. I feel like I will be able to decide on issues like this when I see the schools during my college search. Please respond with schools academically fit my stats. Thanks!

With stats like that, you will have an outside shot at top 20 schools if you put your application together well. You’ll have a have a pretty good shot at anything from about 30 down.
