Which colleges do not ask for recommendations from teachers and guidance counselors?

I know all the UC's do not ask for them. What about Wash U in St. Louis, or Caltech? I know both of them use the common app, but for Wash U, you don't have to write an essay. Are there any other colleges that don't ask for essays? My main question, however, is still on the colleges that do not ask for recommendations.

Edit: good* colleges that don't ask for recs

UCs/CSUs the only ones I know of. Cal Tech and WashU definitely do.

Many public colleges and universities do not require letters of recommendation or essays: admission is based on transcripts and test scores. Some private institutions are primarily numbers-based as well. However, I don’t know of any private institutions that don’t require at least one letter of recommendation.

Which does lead to the question: What have you done that is so awful that you can’t come up with a letter of recommendation from anyone?

LOL no not really; i’m just worried that I won’t stand out from the crowd

Don’t worry about this one. Your teachers and counselor write these letters every year. They will be able to say something about you that helps the admissions office see you as an individual.

Wishing you all the best!
