Which courses count towards my GPA when applying to NYU and UCLA?

I am really confused about how to calculate my GPA. When calculating my GPA for NYU and UCLA, do I count my courses from grades 9-12? I am currently in grade 11, and last year I was in grade 9. In grade 9, I took a few courses online and in summer school, allowing me to skip a grade. So, if they looked at my freshman year grades, are they looking at the courses I did in my freshman year, or all grade 9 courses? Also, do all courses count towards my GPA (core subjects, electives, planning 10, etc…), or just core subjects? Lastly, when calculating my GPA, which grade system do I use? I live in BC, Canada, and an A here is 86-100%, but that may be different for some other grading system. I know that an A+ and A- have different values grade point wise, but here we don’t have A+'s and A-'s. HELP!! (and sorry for asking a million questions!)

For UCLA you use 10- 11th grades from your a-g course requirements.

UC’s do not use + or -

Use this calculator for UCLA.
