I’m an incoming freshman for fall class of 2024 and my room mate and I have been debating between the traditional dorms with communal bathrooms or the suites. So for people currently at UMiami or graduates, which personally do you think is better. My main concern is that is it also easy to make friends and is it as social in the suites compared to the traditional dorms?

It is not as social in the suites and high key the hecht dorms are much nicer than mahoney/pearson. On the other hand, the floor/building programs for mahoney/pearson are nicer but with all the budget cuts (from COVID) they might be less impressive.
