I have been accepted to Sarah Lawrence, Bard, and Bennington, all three with nearly full ride scholarships. Now that I am accepted I need to make a decision!

In comparison
which school is the most prestigious?
which has the better theatre program?
which has the better atmosphere?

All three of these schools seem really great and very similar in ways. Please help me make the distinctions between these awesome colleges!

Congratulations! Great choices – I know the decision is hard.
Sarah Lawrence was one of the seven sister schools, back in the day. So I suppose it still carries with it a status that the other two don’t. It also has the prettiest campus and is so close to NYC, that you get the benefit of a campus and the best city in the world (I’m biased!) right there. Don’t know about the theatre program.
Bard and Bennington are similar in a lot of ways (except size; Bard is three times the size of Bennington) and Bennington gives you more freedom to develop your own curriculum. Bard has a very strong reputation today, but didn’t 30 years ago. Sarah Lawrence always had a good rep and Bennington was always know for its intellectual and creative atmosphere. Hope this helps!

Sarah Lawrence has an amazing theater program that it is well known for and all the advantages and opportunities of being so close to NYC. I know nothing of the other schools but I’d highly recommend SLC.
