I'm interested in being admitted into an engineering school and here's how my schedule will most likely look senior year:

AP Physics C
AP Calculus BC
AP English Language
AP Government and Politics
AP Computer Science A

However I am undecided about my last class. I've taken Spanish my past 3 years of high school and honestly have absolutely hated it i.e. it's boring/my worst class. I am interested in AP Statistics and believe this class might be beneficial for me not in the college admissions process, per se, but if I decide to pursue a major in engineering. My councilor however wants me to take a language instead of AP Statistics saying this will be more beneficial for me in the college admissions process. What do you guys think? (Keep in mind the Spanish that I would be taking senior year would be a regular/junior-level course)

I started to reply to your post and since I was baffled by your long list of proposed APs I looked at your previous post of October. That earlier posts suggests that you are now completing your senior year. What is the purpose of this post?

Statistics is useful generally, but if your engineering major requires statistics, it will likely require a more in-depth course that has calculus as a prerequisite. The AP syllabus is equivalent to the lowest level semester-long non-calculus based introductory course.

For language, check whether any college you are considering has an admission or graduation requirement for which taking the next level of language would help. In any case, more selective schools are likely to consider level 3 the minimum but prefer level 4 in the language.

Haha I’m sorry that was my predicted resume… and actually most of it came true plus or minus a few things I’m sorry for the confusion.
