Which looks better to colleges: AP Physics B or AP Psych?

Or does that depend on your major?

What college do you plan on going to and What do you plan to major in?

Just going off of the norm, I’d say Physics B because its harder than Psych.

AP Physics B, because it’s a more “fundamental” subject in a way. Colleges usually recommend that everyone take a physics class. High school psychology is more of an elective. (I mean, an elective is any class that isn’t required, so Physics B is an elective too, but you know what I mean.)

Physics. Psych’s not considered as high.

Physics. But you should take the class you want regardless.

Generally, Physics. If you’re having trouble picking between the two, maybe you could take AP Psychology in the place of an elective, if you’re intent on taking it.

Definitely AP Physics B. But that class is being discontinued, anyway  AP Physics 1, then? :)

In general Physics, but it depends. Do you feel confident that you can do well in it? If so, take physics. This is especially the case if you haven’t taken all 3 “core” sciences yet. However, if you are like me and have no taste for the more difficult class and think that you are going to struggle in there, then there is no shame in taking the class you are more comfortable with. I echo the thought about taking psych as an elective as opposed to a core class, if possible.
