Which major should I choose?

I just got rejected by UIUC for Bioengineering. However, they are willing to offer me a place and all I have to do is to inform them of my choice of a 2nd major. Any suggestions? I am looking at Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Materials Science Engineering.

ECE all the way

Ofcourse, it depends on what your interested in. You will know when you take a couple classes in each major.

My "biased" choice is - Elec Eng !

I vote EE too.

Of the three you mentioned, EE would be the best choice. I am in MechE and I HAD to choose a different engineering major it would be EE. You will see in the future, especially in the automotive industry, many mechanical components will be replaced with electrical stuff. My point is that EE looks like it will be a continously expanding field and I may opt to take some courses in it in the future.

Yes...and EE can branch out into several engineering fields like CE, Biomedical, Mechanical etc

EE, gets my vote.

Electrical Engineering all the way!

EE is the closest to Bioengineering, and you can always get a masters in Bioengineering.
