Should I take Mac1147 which is Precalc/Trig, or Mac1114 and Mac1140 which is Trig and Precalc respectively?

What’s your major? What are the course descriptions? The combined class may be aimed at humanities and be briefer, or it may move twice as fast to fit all the material in. We can’t really help you, given just the course numbers and not knowing what kind of math you’re hoping for.

I am a physics major. The combined class says it’s for STEM majors. I want to take them during the summer session. Dates are not posted but I assume they are the entire summer. I don’t want to miss out on math I need but I also don’t want to take forever going through the material (I’m a fast learner.)

If you consider yourself a strong math student, take the accelerated combined sequence. (Especially if you have seen some of the topics in high school!) Ideally physics majors start taking calculus in the fall of their first year. Postponing calculus might set you behind in the physics sequence at many universities, since most physics classes have math prerequisites.

I am in my second semester of college so I am behind with the math for a physics major, but since I began taking a full load at college at the start of 11th grade, it’s not a big deal/doesn’t work against me.

I’ll get signed up for the combined class then. :D

Take the one that says it’s for STEM majors
