Which of these is "better" to self-study for: AP Human Geography or AP Environmental?

Which of the two is better to self-study for? As in, which one's "easier", more interesting, and "better" on an app?
And, considering these two are considered the easiest exams, why do they both have the highest percentage on AP Score of a 1? D:

Which subject intrigues you the most?

I’d say both are seen about equally on college apps. I self-studied both last year as a sophomore. I found both pretty interesting, and neither exam was difficult. I ended with a 5 on each.

If you will already have a handful of APs before senior year, don’t self-study any exams. Especially the AP-lites. These just don’t impress adcoms very much. Spend your time doing something original and worthwhile.

And I know APHG has a lot of 1s because many schools use that course as their advanced social studies course for freshmen (who often aren’t ready for college-level work).

Do you think it’d be okay if I just self study both this year as a sophomore? I have AP Euro as a class, but that’s my only AP class this year.

I can’t say how APES is, but HG is awesome.

The test was on a Friday, I think. I started studying the Sunday before. My consisted entirely of reading (not studying–just reading, once) the PR book for HG, then taking one practice test and looking up the answers to the Qs I got wrong.

I got a 5 no sweat.

I also found the subject matter really interesting, though if you ask me what Human Geography IS I’ll still say I’ve no idea.

Enviro is ten times more interesting!

^^Ya. I actually took APUSH as a class while I self studied, which is much like your situation.
