Hi. So I have decided to 2 Majors that I would like to pursue. They are:
1. Buisness
2 Sports Management

These are the schools that I thought of. Some are just because I thought of them.
1 University of Washington
2 U of Arizona
3 Arizona St
4 Oregon
5 Oregon St
6 Gonzaga
7 University of Portland
8 Boise St
9 Long Beach St
10 University of Georgia.
Georgia Is as far as I wish to go, that's the only school in the east I'm considering
I wouldn't mind Colorado schools but as you can see I like the Pacific Northwest most and have relatives in AZ. Could you help me trim this list down and also maybe suggest some other schools please? Thanks

Perhaps more important, can you afford all of these schools? Out of state public schools usually are not generous with financial aid. Check their net price calculators.

I remember you from your earlier posts. Your mom is lowish income and (I think) going to school herself. You would need a lot of aid to afford college, yet the schools on your list won’t be affordable. If I remember, your stats aren’t high enough for merit awards.

You’re a Calif resident. You need to take advantage of Calif aid and go to college instate.

I know that but I need to figure out first if the schools offer the major and if they excel in teaching the majors that I want. If they don’t even have the major that school is coming off my list. Ill worry about costs once I’ve trimmed my list down to a few schools.

Tyler…It would be more effective for you to figure out which schools would be affordable for you, and then eliminate the ones that don’t have your major.

Your biggest problem is going to be that you’ll be a transfer student. Virtually all the OOS schools will not be affordable. Many of the privates won’t be either.

You’re low income and a Calif resident, attending a CC. You need to use the CSU and UC websites to find which schools have your major because those ones will give you the best aid because of Cal Grants, Pell Grants and other aid.

Tyler, look at CSU Northridge. It is known for Kinesiology, which includes sports management, and it has a business major as well. It is a good school and affordable.

Incidentally Tyler, I’ll take a wild guess that many people working in Sports Management jobs don’t have a Bachelor degree in that field, but perhaps come from a broad variety of majors. You need to find and select the best education that you can afford.
