english math reading science writing

so basically as time goes by, i suck more and more

Wow, English and reading? Really?

English is stupid easy. I finished with 10 minutes to spare.

Reading is easy too. I don't know why people have trouble with this section.

Math is very easy up to about question 30, and then it gets somewhat difficult. If they gave you 5-10 extra minutes this section would be easy too. I usually have to guess on 3-7 due to time pressure.

Science is the hardest, but I can see how it would be easy for someone who actually liked science in high school. Yeah, all the information is there, but if you never paid attention in science class it's like trying to answer questions in a foreign language with a translation key given. Sure, technically all the information's there, but it's going to take some time to decipher everything if you don't speak the language. For someone who's very into science this section is probably even easier than the reading section.

Definitely the science portion because of the time constraint.

hardest to easiest: science, reading, english, math

Usually, hardest to easiest, its science, reading, math english

But today, it was math,science,reading,english.

The science section is always the hardest.

The science and math have been harder in the past two tests, much harder than in the red book.

easiest to hardest:

english, reading, science, math.

Like those above have said, remember that the science is data interpretation and reading comprehension. I thought I’d have trouble with science, since math and science are not my strong points, but I’ve found it really easy on the practice tests. Even though I’m not that familiar with scientific language, they explain things fairly well, so I was able to answer all the questions and had time left over.

The essay is always hard too, even my sister who is a published writer and writes essays all the time didn’t get a great score on it. It’s hard to tell what they look for.

And in both english and reading, there are always a few questions that I find to be subjective and more questions of style than of grammar or correctness, which I have trouble with.

So my easiest to hardest: Science, reading, english, math.

Note: The essay I’m assuming is scored similarly to the SAT, I haven’t done it on an actual ACT yet. And the math I think is the hardest because of the time limit - I’m shaky on some of the math concepts already, but with the tight time limit it killed me.

Reading is the hardest part for me. The Humanities and Prose Fiction are the killing part. Math starts to be difficult at the end part, because it mostly covers Trig. Science, not enough time for reasoning? Anyway, it seems everything is difficult… =(

Tony, I feel your pain.

On the second practice test I took, I got a 20 reading, humanities and prose fiction killed as well. Math, I got 49/50 right on the first 50 questions with one silly mistake, yet five of the next 10 wrong, ending up with a 30 in Math, I think.

Science isn’t that hard and I just have to study for English, but there’s absolutely nothing I can do about ACT Reading. Sigh.

i suck at testing but i completely bombed science. i suck at english and math is the only thing im decent at

English is hardest for me. Reading is so/so while science and mathematics are very easy. I think it all depends who you are. I think science overwhelms some as they try to understand every detail of it when all you really need to do is to interpret graphs.

I dont like the Reading - Social Sciences and English - Rhetorical Skills
Science is okay but its so long.

anyway easiest to hardest:
reading english math science

Reading is the biggest for me…it was 5 points below my next highest section…

Whichever part you do not feel comfortable with.

That is the only answer that is not biased and makes sense here.

You many know grammar very well, but be horrible at math. So guess what, the math part is going to be the hardest. Or you may be bad with grammar and love math, so the English part will be the hardest. You may have a hard time understanding Scientific concepts and charts involved with them, so Science would be the hardest. You could also have a hard time comprehending and focusing on what you’re reading, then Reading would be the hardest. It is all personal preferences.

I find the math and science to be ridiculously hard. I got such low scores in both of those sections. I plan on taking them again in October so hopefully I do better because I really don’t want to send out my other score to colleges.

I think the science is tough, not because of the material but because of the time limit. It’s ridiculous. And the reading is tough for me b/c I’m not the fastest reader. When I take my time I can ace it. I don’t like the Prose and the Humanities sections; the other two are good. When I got a 25 on the reading in April, I had only missed one question on the natural science and the social science sections putting me in like the 98th percentile for those section. But on the Prose and Humanities sections I didn’t do so well b/c I had to rush through them.

I flipping hate science. I routinely ace the reading and english, with around a 30-34 on math, but with science I just can’t seem to do it. My average is like 25.
