@ JohnAdams: I think BU and Northeastern are one more notch down when in comparison to Tuft,BC and NYU.

PABank, ha!

that is a good one…

Penn has gotten much much better in the last decade or two…primarily because of the incredible strength of Wharton…

but in my day it was well known as the Insurance Ivy…

so, yes, I did get in…

raezin I would agree with you on that one, although BU and Tufts probably have the most cross admits.

The language of a potential Penn student - “greenexcess” doing what he does best, attack and insult.

Here he is attempting to convince a student to chose Penn over Yale:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-pennsylvania/926279-yale-vs-penn-help.html#post1064842562

His first post in the thread:

“You are actually proving yourself to be really ■■■■■■■■ gugupo… Can you get your little brain to process these facts? …”

then more:

**“You should never take advise from an i d i o t, and that is a fact!”

"dont you have anything more?? is that all you got?? inferiority complex?? hahah come on!! give me more!! get your little brain going, if you can… "

"HAHAHAH as I said you pathetic creature, … Where do you go BTW? crap college or dumb college? Noo, not even them, you are a loser and you have proven it time and time again. Loser "

" I am not ■■■■■■■■, unlike you."

"hahaha what my posts defending penn from a lying loser? "**

JohnAdams12 posted:

"ha!..I just realized

“justthefacts”

is the Tufts alumnus that denies being a graduate of Tufts but goes around the Internet attempting to make it an equal to the Ivies, Amherst and Williams, and trying real real hard at this, I might add…

anyone that knows much about Tufts and Tufts Syndrome would know what I mean.

that says it all"

No, JohnAdams12, you didn’t realize anything. I’m not a Tufts alumnus. i do have relatives and friends that have attended and graduated from Amherst, Williams, Tufts, and other Mass. schools. But you are almost certainly a ■■■■■. If there was any doubt, your last 10-12 posts on this thread reveal you. What I wonder is… did you also post on this site under a different name prior to your listed “join” date of February 2010? It’s curious to me how someone so opinionated and obnoxious, so pretentious, and so utterly lacking in common graces (as well as a life, apparently) could have only surfaced in February 2010 for the first time on a board like this. I hate to feed ■■■■■■ but it’s probably worth humoring you for a while longer if it helps to expose you.

Why don’t you favor us with some more of your wisdom? In facts, why don’t you tell us all a little more about your actual background, educational accomplishments, occupation, etc.? Help those of us who graduated from inferior schools to understand why your insufferable attitude and bullying of high school students is justified. Please… it’s the least you can do.

more “greenexcess” from other threads:

when another student discusses SAT scores:

"What an i d i o t!!! Hahahahahahahaha you are so lame!!! "

then in Swarthmore v. Penn:

**"^he is ■■■■■■■■, dont listen to him. "

"he is not nuts, he is ■■■■■■■■ and his posts are not meant to help the OP but to bring down Penn with comments he has no idea about ( I bet he doesnt even know anything about Swarthmore). So yeah, he is ■■■■■■■■ "**

then in a Penn v. WashUStl thread:

**"HAHAHAHA come on!!! …I will shut you up! Penn is by no means similar to washington university at st.louis, friggin ■■■■■■ bring facts and I will shut up! "

"everyone, look at gugupo’s posts so that you can see how he is full of ****! "**

and many other schools:

**“Dont listen to this I D I O T look at all his other posts so that you can laugh at all his non-sense, he is full of ****, but the worst part is that he believes all the crap he sais.”

"there is no purpose, he is just a loser with no life whatsoever. "

“Everyone, dont listen to this doofus, he is full of crap. Look at all his older posts and you will see what I mean, he has a very low IQ”

“They simply dont compare, Penn is above Cornell. Dont listen to this ■■■■■■, look at all his posts and you will see what I mean. DO NOT LISTEN TO HIM”

"HAHAHAHA come on you little guy! a LOL? is that everything?!?! You are so incredibly lame, Penn is above cornell in every general ranking out there!! Are you inventing things again? oh, I forgot you always invent! Loser "

"And you are certainly full of crap! "

"yeah and for literally everything else Penn is better, so no, they are not equally good. LOOSERRRRR "

"HAHAHAHAHA yeah whatever you say genius, is your insanity going to go on forever? He is a ■■■■■ and he is wrong. "

“I think cornell does not have more prestige. Penn is not only Wharton, Penn has a superior Cas department. And regarding your other post about my english, when you learn to speak spanish like I speak english we will talk, ok?”**

justthefacts, shame on you!

I just read more of your posted messages

you are the adult with the Tufts connections going around the Internet trying to convince poor high school students that Tufts was just as good or better than schools of such high caliber as Amherst.

Shame on you!

Fortunately there is such a large difference between the quality of undergraduate education at schools such as Amherst compared to your dear Tufts that, with some luck, none of these defenseless high school kids fell for your “con”.

I hope to god that you didn’t attempt to “meet” them at some point for coffee or something similar to convince these kids further.

^Okay, Tufts isn’t that bad. I mean, I still greatly prefer Amherst, but I can see why someone would choose Tufts over Amherst (some like larger schools and the opportunities afforded by connections made in cities, International Relations majors flourish at Tufts)

more on Tufts Syndrome:

Dude…

This thread is intense.

If only everyone knew to expect this sort of stuff from Princeton people as well as Penn people do ;)

Seriously, though…this thread is ridiculous.

Thread has come to this:

“You’re an idiot”
“No, you’re and idiot”

“After you, my dear Alphonse…”

" No no NO,you first , my dear Gaston …@#$%^&&***. ;(

Yes, XXY University’s such a * fine* school (ahem )…LOL

Elite= Ivy League+

…which includes every time: Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Brown, Penn, Dartmouth, Cornell, Stanford, MIT.

…which includes most times: Duke, CalTech, Chicago.

…which includes many times: Williams, Amherst, Swarthmore.

That’s it…and especially not Notre Dame you got to be kidding me on that one.

wow at including every single Ivy League league schools such as Cornell and Brown while leaving out academically peer schools such as Northwestern, Emory and Rice. That just goes to show you care more about the “Ivy” brand rather than education.

actually, andycollege, although I agree with your point about ND, Duke doesn’t belong on the same line as UChicago, or Caltech. And yes, although Cornell is in the Ivy league, it doesn’t compare with the rest, ( how could it compare to a Dartmouth, or a Brown? even their adcom admits it )and is more on the level of a Duke. You also neglected Johns Hopkins, which, in the now famous QS World university ranking ( rivaling USNWR’s in its depth and methodology, as well as worldwide audience reach ) is ranked above Duke and cornell. I also agree with alam about Rice, most eastern seaboard folks don’t realize its academic prowess. WUSTL, Berkeley are also glaring omissions on your part. You should check out the rankings, see how the rest of the world sees us:

[THE - QS World University Rankings 2009 - top universities | Top Universities](http://www.topuniversities.com/university-rankings/world-university-rankings/2009/results)

This is a ridiculous discussion and it’s just gotten into people attacking each other.

TOP 20 UNIVERSITIES & TOP 10 LACS

Really, the nonsense people write on these boards is ridiculous.

The ONLY way you could attempt to argue that Chicago and Duke don’t belong together is going by graduate rankings - and if you choose to follow that line of reasoning, then Cornell leaves Brown and Dartmouth (and Columbia and Penn) in its dust.

Which is it going to be?

@ GoBlueJays

Ok, so Stanford is worse than Cornell by your QS-who-gives-a-crap-rankings? And what are you smoking if you think that Duke is not on par with Chicago? I turned down Chicago for Duke, and not only that, but Duke crushes Chicago in grad school placement. If you don’t believe me look up the Wall Street Journal rankings, which, o yea, use clear and straightforward criteria for rankings.

Trusting in a system that places Stanford…STANFORD!..behind JHU, Cornell, Chicago is absurd. Must be out of your mind.

And PS, Duke is definitely superior to Cornell overall. Cornell gets a slight edge in engineering, but arts and sciences is hands down Duke. Plus, no offense, the specialized schools do not mean much. The kids there, again no offense, are NY residents admitted in mass numbers due to the state-sponsored aspect of the university. It’s a good school, but not Duke. Grad schools maybe, but not undergrad.

And I’m not knocking the NY in-state school kids, I’m just saying that statistically they are not on par with the CAS and Engineering kids, or the other Ivy caliber schools.

BTW, Rice/Emory/Northwestern are elite, but not as recognizable as the others. Hopkins makes a best claim of the group, and frankly I would include it. But its like Cal-Tech. They are good, but not recognized as widely. Cal-Tech is recognized as elite in the same circles that recognize Duke and Chicago. If you expand the circle, Rice/Emory/Northwestern/Hopkins all fit, maybe even Georgetown, but its how I view elite and I think how most people view it.
