Which range of schools do YOU consider "elite"? HYPSM? Top 20?

<p>for those sports fans out there that haven’t had a chance to see a game, the playoffs will be on ESPN next 2 weekends.</p>

<p>brooklyndad, JHU is not really as well known for engineering, but it usually is #1, or 2 in biomedical engineering, whereas RPI , from my recollection, is known for its engineering, so this is not really a revelation to me. My guess, though is that JHU will jump another spot in the USNWR rankings, because its acceptance rate dipped to just above 20 %, compared to 25% for NU , which is ranked ahead, although that is certainly not the only metric. JHU’s desirability has also risen in these tough economic times.</p>

Although you’ve already noted the fact that acceptance rate is not the only metric, you should also remember that several schools below Northwestern boast lower acceptance rates.

Hasn’t every T20 school become more desirable?</p>
