Which SAT science subject test should I take?

Hi,
My school has a horrible science department and I wasn’t able to take any A.P science classes. I am unsure as to which sat science test to take because I have only taken the basic Ny courses on biology and Chemistry. I am leaning towards the SAT bio because I heard it is easy to self study with prep books if you have a good memory. I want to major in something science/math related but I just to see what guys think about the easiest science sat test.

There’s no easy science sat test. It’s up to you. If you think you can take SAT bio, then go for it.

Bio. The others are really hard unless you just took the class or are very skilled in the material.

If you are going to self study then you should take the physics subject test. The curve is ridiculous and a lot of the formulas are just derivations of others so you can cut down the workload that way. Also if you go the bio route then I suggest ecology. It is much easier than molecular if you didn’t have a good teacher/class that covered the material.

Despite what some students here will say, it is not necessary to have an AP class to take the Subject Tests; they are designed to be taken by students with a intro year-long, college-prep, class.

Not having take the bio SAT, I can’t comment specifically on if it’s easier than chem. Borrow a prep book on each from the library, take a practice test, and study for whichever one you score higher on.

Try some practice test and see if you are ready. Check out if your public or school library has those prep books. Which subject would depend on you and the college you are going to apply. For instance, the Integrated Science program at Northwestern requires the Math Level II, Physics, and Chemistry.

Most students in our district take the Bio SAT II after their 9th grad bio class, not after AP bio. Is taking a science SAT II required? You could consider taking math and a humanities if you feel better prepared for those.
