Which School Can I Get Into?

Hi. I am a current high school junior, just completed the 1st of junior year.I come from Howard County , Maryland, one of the more prominent high school education systems, (well thats what they say) I have good grades, A's, with the occasional B's. I have taken 9 G/T classes, 5 AP classes, and 3 Honors classes to date. I currently have a 3.7 weighted, and around 4.4 unweighted (it might be the other way around). As for EC's , I volunteer a lot at the local Elementary Schools, Homeless Shelter, Soup Kitchen. I am a member of the black student achievement program, Association of black engineers, national honor society, national society of high school scholars, national technology honor society, treasurer of the young democrat's club, member of the Horizon Club (volunteer group) I have attended things like national Young Leader Conferences, and summer intern/programs at Howard University.

I am looking to get onto the pre-med track, and my top colleges are:
George Washington,
Penn State,
Univeristy of Maryland - College Park,
Brown,
Dartmouth. I have looked up these schools and have seen their average admission scores, but just want to know whether i have a chance at any of them. I am also looking for the accelerated pre-med program, so any info on that would be helpful as well. oh, and by the way, i took the SAT's for the first time today, so im unable to provide my score, but I got a 210 on the PSAT's

any informartion or advice on how i could improve myself is aprreciated! thanks!

1st term of junior year (two quarters)**

Unfortunately, I don’t think this is the best forum for this. I would say that you have a shot at all of them with a reasonable SAT score, especially the top 3 in your list, but this is not my area of expertise. Being pre-med is unlikely to alter the factors necessary to get into these schools, so I would ask one of the forums dedicated to this sort of thing (or open a chance thread in each school forum).

Thanks for the info. I am new to this site, just registering today, and not too sure how this forum/thread thing works. which forum should i post it in?

For brown and dartmouth, post it under their respective forums under the Ivy League. For the others, an open chance thread would be good under “What are my chances?” forum. I would wait until you have those SAT scores so ppl will have a better idea.

your better off not asking for opinions on ivy league and other ultra competitive schools. Their selection process is highly variable and unpredictable so there really is no point asking because no one would be able to give you a straight answer.

Hey akujieze I am in the same situation you are in did you get an answer back from anybody/
