Cost is not the most important thing when you are trying to get into medical school. Your GPA is.
Consider how those long commutes will affect your ability to study and get the high GPA that you will need to get into med school. Figuring out that your grades are tanking halfway through your first semester because you’re spending hours either on the road or waiting for your brother will be too late.
I would choose the school that has the maximum potential for your GPA: Which one will you be happiest at? Which one will give you the most time to study?
