Hello,
I am an international student and want to go to medical school after i complete my degree at undergraduate.I have problems about finding the correct college.I don't want to be criticized as you are not suitable for med school or your grades are not high you cant become a doctor. If you are gonna say what i said above please don't even respond.
My highschool marks are :
Freshman 60.3/100
Sophomore 61/100
Juniour 75/100
seniour ??
I ll take Sat math level 2 , bio-m and chemistry in a month and assume that ll get at least 750+ from all of them.
My highest sat is 1700 so far but im currently scoring 1900++ in official tests and will take it two more times in next months.
I am not saying i am the most hardworking student in class but i was 2nd or so while in juniour year and our school is pretty hard. Our teachers are not trying to give you points they try to cut your point. Some of my friends have 90/100 as their gpa from other schools but they can not even score close to me in subjects such as bio , math , chemistry etc.
My extra:
I play tennis for 4 years (no awards :( )
3 year in some kind of debate club in school
volunteer in charity
et...
I dont want to go to harvard or something i just want to find a decent pre-med
I DONT WANT FINANCIAL HELP....

btw i have some kind of machine plan in my head about some kind of paralyzed people that can help them to walk and feel some part of their body again.Should i include the details of my creation while applying??

“I don’t want to be criticized as you are not suitable for med school or your grades are not high you cant become a doctor.”

Uhhh I’m not an expert, but I feel like that would be the case for any med school. Not saying that you need to get all A’s in your classes, but if you have a bunch of C’s, then it’ll probably be a lot harder.

Anyway, colleges look at your school’s profile-what classes are offered, what people score on national exams, SATs, etc. They take the difficulty of your school in consideration.
Just curious, where is your international school?

From what I’ve heard from my older premed friends, you can study pre med anywhere. I would suggest Brandeis, Indiana U-Bloomington, John Hopkins, Emory, Boston University, Northeastern, Washington U in St. Louis, UMich, etc.

A lot of the top 10 or top 20 public schools have decent programs.

Hope this helps!

Hes not going to get into the schools that you listed with his grades

I live in turkey if that matters…

Any more suggestions?

Well I don’t really get the marks but a 60/100 is a D in america.

Know nothing about it but I hear Meharry Medical College is ‘easier’ to get into

Heres a forum already about this:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/pre-med-topics/150831-easy-med-schools.html

I have a question. Is going to medical school your decision or your parents?

Definetly mine.I am always amazed by complex and awesome human body and love biology, chemistry.I sometimes open youtube and watch operations about bones , eyes etc…

Ok good. I just find that many middle eastern parents are very pushy towards medical degrees and atleast around me it turns out not to be the best choice. Glad to see your breaking my stereotype. GL

I also said that i know im not the hardest worker but our school is just way too hard compared to other schools.I could get 95/100 gpa if i went to easy-boosting high schools

Bump!!bump

Lol I"m just trying to be helpful

Use a college search engine that allows you to input your GPA and test scores. You can fulfill pre-med requirements at most colleges or universities, but you will need to get better grades in college and score well on the MCAT to get into medical school. There is a forum in here for pre-med students.
