Which school should I pick, Northeastern, Stony Brook, SUNY Albany, or NYIT?

I recently got into Northeastern, Stony Brook, SUNY Albany, or NYIT and I'm not sure which school I want to attend. I got into Northeastern and Stony Brook without a scholarship, but since I'm instate Stony Brook isn't too expensive. I got into the honors college at Albany and NYIT I got a scholarship for the DO program. I want to go pre med which school would be the best? I appreciate all responses.

Stonybrook obviously. VERY strong premed :)

visit all the schools and just go where you feel most comfortable. or if price is your biggest factor, go with the cheapest

For pre-med you want to limit your debt on graduation.

Northeastern is by-far the best school you listed, although it does tend to be a bit on the expensive-side. If you can afford to attend, I wouldn’t even look at the other schools you mentioned. However, if you can’t afford Northeastern, Stonybrook isn’t a bad option even if it isn’t as great academically.

If you are going pre-med, go to the school which gives you the best chance of earning a higher gpa.

NU is awesome - but for premed?

Yes, NEU for pre-med! Co-ops - Boston has many major medical centers and teaching hospitals including many within a short walk away [Premed - Cooperative Education](http://www.northeastern.edu/coop/areas-of-study/premed/)
and pre-med advising [PreHealth Advising Program | Northeastern University](http://www.northeastern.edu/prehealth/)
and excellent academics in many sciences.

I wouldn’t say Northeastern is by far the best, since Stony Brook is excellent and rising. NYIT is not recommended overall, however, their DO program is well-regarded. I wouldn’t consider Albany for pre-med.

I also got into u miami, no scholarship, which school would be the best choice?

Here’s my two cent.

If you do not want to spend a lot of money on undergrad and want a higher GPA, go to SB.
If you are okay with spending money and want co-ops and a better overall education, go to NE.

I agree with the majority here, NE!

" I got into Northeastern and Stony Brook without a scholarship"

Then how will you pay for Northeastern ? Go to stony brook much better for pre-med and cheaper…Northeastern is 3 times the cost of stony brook. You should not even be looking at it.

Have you visitted Northeastern and Stony Brook? They’re both great for Pre-Med, and if cost isn’t an issue it comes down to which campus you prefer.

i got a scholarship to stony brook, is the direct program at albany hard to get into?

No but Stony Brook is better…

Can you what kind of colleges are these please?

Sent from my LG-VM696 using CC

Northeastern and NYIT are private

Albany and Stony Brook are public…

I know that Stony Brook has a very strong math and science program, maybe the strongest out of all the SUNY’s, but does stony brook have any other strong programs? For example, Albany has a strong buisness program with a strong Bio program.

Anything having to do with STEM is strong at Stony Brook. So that means engineering, computer science, pre-med (which means bio, chem, etc.), and really anything to do with medicine, science, and technology.

Stony Brook’s other programs such as business and social sciences are weaker. But if you are going for pre-med I don’t see why that matters.

If you are trying to save money for med school, which you should be, then Stony Brook is a no-brainer.
