Which scores should I submit?

I took a few tests but honestly I don’t know much about how the tests work and now I don’t know which ones to send. Would love advice!

For the main test ones I took the SAT back in like 10th or 11th just to gauge where I was at. Got a 2330 (800R 780M 750W) so I kinda figured I’d just stick with that, never really went back and retook it or prepped or anything. In October I found out that I get a fee waiver for the ACT so I took that one too because why not I guess. I got a 36 combined score (36M 36E 36R 35S essay hasn’t come back yet). Which one should I send? I know the 36 is like a better percent or something but everyone is always saying that the ACT is easier also I don’t know what my essay will be - didn’t do well on that for the SAT. Or should I sent both? Not really sure what to do

For the subject tests I took the math one twice, got an 800 the second time so I guess I’ll send that. I also took literature and got 730, spanish with listening and got 740, and spanish without listening and got 750. Some of my schools need 2 subjects and some need 3. Is my spanish or my literature stronger? The literature is a higher percentile but the spanish is a higher score also I talk about spanish translating in my ECs. Which of the two spanish tests is better? I know the non listening is a better score and percentile but that test has less native speakers taking it (I’m not native).

For the AP tests I took the tests for all of the classes I took and for 3 other random tests because I had extra fee waivers and didnt see a reason not to. I got 5s on calc, stats, lang, spanish lang, spanish lit, and human geo, but only got a 4 on microecon and 3 on psych because I didn’t take the class or self study. Should I submit the 3 and the 4? I’m not sure if top tier schools will frown upon those or if it just shows more range.

Thanks so much!! I’m super lost so I really appreciate your help!!

My unprofessional advice:
Send SAT and ACT. They show consistency.
Which math SAT II did you take? Send it either way
For the colleges with 2 subject recs: send math and Spanish with listening. It proves that you fully understand the language.

I think AP scores are just really for college credit, not admissions. You can report them all because the only real way an AP score looks bad is if it’s a 1 or maybe 2. The 2 is bad if you’re gonna major in something like engineering and you couldn’t pass calc ab.

I agree with above. Great scores. However, you do not need to send any AP scores, as they can be self-reported. You can send AP scores when you put your deposit down at the college you plan to attend.

How do some people get such high scores out of the blue? I have a 1400 ;(

A 1400 is a good score! You should totally be proud of it.

Even though I didn’t put a lot of time into preparing for these specific tests, I’ve spent a lot of time working on my test taking strategies that are applicable to pretty much any test. I’m by no means an expert, but if you have any questions feel free to PM me.

smoothie cris: lots of practice and studying i suppose. this forum has a pretty skewed user base to use as a sample
