Which scores to send in...?

Currently I am a freshman at a local community college and I plan to apply to a four year college/university for the fall 2011 semester. I have taken the SAT twice and the ACT once, and I'm not sure if I should send in all of them or what...

My First SAT -
Reading - 650
Math - 490 --yes, I totally bombed that, though I was sick so that may have accounted for something, lol.
Writing - 620
Essay - 8

Second SAT
Reading - 690
Math - 570
Writing - 590
Essay 7

Then my ACT which I took just this Sept. with no preparation.
Composite - 29
English - 31
Math - 24
Reading - 34
Science - 25
And my essay was a 5, which is awful, I just am really bad at handling timed writing even though I have never gotten less than an A in all my regular school writing assignments.

So, I am at a loss because each test has some advantage over the other, like a better essay score, math score, or just overall score. Should/could I send in all of them, or what?

I’d send in your ACT (equivalent to 1920 total SAT) and write amazing essays and have a recommendation from a teacher who can vouch for your writing and write in the additional info section that you have difficulty writing under time pressure.

I think it unwise to comment on “difficulty writing under time pressure” in your application.

I would send in the second SAT score. The math score is reasonable in that test, and the overall score is comparable to your overall ACT score. And if the colleges to which you’re applying allow you to superscore the SAT, then you have a pretty good overall SAT score.

Thanks for your input.
I will also be able to get great letters of recommendation, and if I have a great college essay, do you think the ACT score would be better? To me, it seems like the act score is overall stronger than my sats…though I dont’ know…any more advice?

Definitely the ACT score. Good luck to you =)

bump…any more input?

bump… :)
