Which SSAT score is better and what are our chances?

My kid appeared for SSAT twice. had some tech issues in the 1st attempt and then decided to appear again.

Here are the scores:
Attempt 1 - 2311 (98 percentile overall) - 785 (verbal - 97); 785 (quantitative - 94); 740 (Reading - 95)

Attempt 2 - 2346 (99 percentile overall) - 770 (verbal - 95); 776 (quantitative - 92); 800 (Reading - 99)

Even though score and percentile in attempt 2 is better, I am worried about 92 percentiles in quantitative in case if there are individual cut-offs.

We are applying for private schools in great Seattle areas (Lakeside, Overlake and Eastside prep) for the upper school (09th grade). Any guidance on which score to submit will really help. Also are these scores good enough and whether the bar is too high?

You’re overthinking it TBH. Neither of these scores will come remotely close to eliminating your DC from consideration. Scores are but one (increasingly minor) aspect of an application, and these scores are phenomenal.

To be blunt, this falls in the category of over-analyzing without appreciating the big picture.

If you need an answer: 99 is a higher score than a 98.

If trying for a math scholarship award, then consider submitting the test with the higher quant score, but there will be many applicants to Lakeside with higher scores in math so this is probably not a realistic consideration.

Doesn’t matter. Seriously, I am not being glib. It just doesn’t matter which you send, at all. Send both if you want to.
