I currently a sophomore and i am interensted in getting a degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics and im wondering which SAT Subjects Tests I should take. I'm going to take the Physics and Mathematics 1 and 2. Are their any others i should take?

Physics, maybe Chemistry.

Don’t take Math 1, take Chemistry instead or maybe a Humanities one

Take Physics, Math 2 (no Math 1 needed or recommended), and another science or humanity if needed.

Well with something like Physics, a highly mathematical field, I’d also suggest the SAT II Chemistry.

Most schools who require SAT II’s only require 2. For what you want, you usually need a math and a physical science.

If you take precalculus before senior year, take Math II in June of the year in which you take precalculus. If you don’t get to precalculus until senior year, take Math I in June of junior year.

If you take AP Physics B junior year or earlier, take the Physics SAT II in May of the same year. If you take AP Chemistry junior year or earlier, take the Chemistry SAT II in May of the same year. Since you’d be studying for the AP anyway, this will be almost a “freebee” in terms of how much extra studying you need to do.

If you will take neither of the above AP’s junior year or earlier, take the Physics SAT II in June of the year in which you take Physics, AND take Chemistry in the June of the year in which you take Chemistry. Get the review books, because there will be a small number of topics which you will not have covered. You will be slightly disadvantaged compared to those who’ve taken the corresponding AP, but since you will take two exams, and most colleges will only really count the better of the two, you get two chances to get a really good score.
