My D so far has been accepted to all of the summer programs that she applied to: 21st Century Leadership Unplugged (CNN and Turner Broadcasting) (free); Air Force Summer Seminar, Coast Guard AIM, Mizzou Urban Journalism Workshop (scholarship), and waiting to hear about Chuck Stone at UNC (free if accepted). Just have to pay the airfare. Plus she wants to go to FSU's cross country camp and retake the ACT in June. Don't want her to get too burned out and want her to enjoy her summer before her senior year starts with all the apps and OV's. She's more interested in regular colleges, but keeping her options open for the service academies and wanted to see what they would be like. Hate for her to turn any of them down because a lot of work went into applying with all the recs and essays but wasn't expecting that she would get into all of them!
