Hey guys my sat is coming up in June and I wanted to know which direct hits volume should I buy along with pr's hit parade and rocketreview's vocab so that I can be best prepared for the Vocab part?

Actually I would say neither volume. DH has not performed well on the recent tests. Plus it is expensive.

Really? Huh I thought it did good based on previous tests. So then should I just go with pr’s hit parade and rocketreview’s Vocab?

I used just the 2 volumes of direct hits, none of those other books that you mentioned. A lot of the vocal from them were on the march sats. They should be sufficient.

Alright thanks guys!

I also took the March SAT. Based upon the CC compilation there were 21 key SAT words that were answers. Forget the wrong answers. Here are the words:
jovial, scavenge, fashion, derisive, peremptory, precipitate, confluence, sinister, acute, finite, penchant, enmity, anomalous, fortuitous, polar, implacable, cull, truncate, beguile, havoc, and evenhanded. DH (both volumes) had 10 of these 21 words: jovial, derisive, precipitate, acute, penchant, anomalous, fortuitous, implacable, and beguile. This is based upon the 500+ words in the DH index. Some of these words were not part of the numbered list of DH words. So how did DH do? OK but not great

Yeah, but there were situations where I could eliminate all of the answer choices because I knew the words from direct hits. I didn’t have to know all the vocal in all 5 choices, but as long as I knew the ones in 4 of them, I was set.
