Which will give me more free time?

i am a rising junior, right now, i am presented with two options-the IB diploma path and AP classes at my home school.
these are the AP classes i’ll take…
AP literature and composition
APUSH
AP chem (double block course-counts as two courses
AP psychology
AP human geography
My choices are between the IB diploma and these 5 (6, if u want to count chem as 2) AP classes. Which one would give me an easier workload, meaning less homework. Which is easier?

An easier HS workload leads to non-selective colleges.

I can see where you’re coming from, but u see Colleges don’t really prefer the IB diploma over AP classes, and since the GPA i will be receiving from either of the 2 paths is near the same if i get identical grades in both paths, i think it all comes down to which path will enable me to get a higher gpa meaning which is easier, Which do u think is easier for me?

That group of AP classes is likely to be easier than the first year of IBD. But most colleges will also recognize that there was a more rigorous option you didn’t choose. No math?? Are you done with FL? This doesn’t look really well rounded in terms of college prep.

What classes would you take if you were to do IB? Which classes would you take senior year if you were to take the AP route? I second gardenstategal’s questions about your math and foreign language course, have you finished all the math and FL courses your school offers? If not, why are you foregoing them?

Taking AP instead of IB is perfectly fine. However AP Human geography is often considered an easy freshman year class so taking that instead of math and/or foreign language doesn’t necessarily look good esp when you have science already. .
