I know that online degrees add credits to my academic profile that aren’t apart of the 120 credit B.S requirement. Would. that make my GPA higher than what it would be If only pursued a B.S degree.
Check with your college registrar but it is highly unlikely.
- You would have to see if your 4 year college will accept the online credits.
- Even if the credits are accepted they would likely come in as Pass/Fail and would not impact your GPA.
Transfer courses rarely come in with grades that apply to your GPA.
(My apologies but every time I see this word, used in an opposite manner, it confuses me because I have to reread what is being said. I have since then tried to advise the user of the definition.
“apart” meaning “to separate”.
So essentially, when you use the term “apart”, you are saying “separate”.)
How will you have time to do this? The major gets more and more difficult. The university wont add this “GPA” to their transcript, unless the university, itself, sponsors the course. So if you go to XYZ university and you take online courses from ABC university, it is a separate entity. They are not going to combine and elevate your university GPA.
I suspect OP meant “a part”.
It’s hard to be “apart of” something.
What is your goal?
If you had taken community college classes for credit, you would have a GPA for those classes.
If you then went to a 4 year college, and finished your degree, you would have a GPA for that college that would not include the CC classes.
But if you were going to grad school or med school or law school and they wanted to see your transcripts, they would see the grades for all the classes in both colleges.
But they wouldn’t just look at your GPA…if they saw you were taking underwater basket weaving just to get an A for your transcript, that would not sway them.
