I’m not aware of any underlying conspiracy on the part of the vendor to ultimately banish all use of back arrows, of course. However, if avoiding them for now eliminates some of these issues then by all means please do so. As the vendor noted above, they are not happy with the current user experience and are looking to have a fix in place by February hopefully. That’s all I have right now.
It’s not just the back arrow. Any time I click around, I get “unread” notifications that are read. It’s really annoying to read the same notifications over again
I agree with Romani, @Lenitus. No matter what device I use, and no matter how I maneuver around the site, threads that I’ve read still have the “new” posts notification. The only time they seem to update is if I log off the site and log back on. Why can’t the vendor go back to the previous version until they get the bugs out of this one?
Still an issue. I guess we are waiting until February for a fix.
It’s incredibly annoying to never know whether or not you really have notifications. I’ve been pretty much ignoring them because they’re not working properly and because of that, I’ve missed a few times when I was tagged for advice or whatever.
Great news. I’ve got confirmation from the tech team that the back-button is something that will be fixed during the next forum upgrade, which will happen sometime in February. Thanks for your patience.
@romanigypsyeyes, our tech team thinks this is all related to the back-button issue. We’ll deploy the fix and see if this takes care of the problem. I’ll keep you updated. Thanks!
