I’m 1/2 hispanic – born in South America to South American father and European mother, raised in bi-lingual household. My son is 1/4 hispanic. He checked the box on his apps, but we aren’t immersed in the Latin culture in our community so he didn’t write anything on his applications about having a close affinity with the hispanic culture. He left it to the Adcom to decide how they want to weigh the fact that he checked the box. I’m comfortable with that.
