Who actually makes the admissions decision?

<p>Do the "Admissions Counselors" make the admissions decision? What if the counselor for your area was "Mr. X". Would "Mr. X" be the person to decide whether or not you would attend Binghamton University?</p>

<p>I called them, and from what I was told, it appears that each admissions counselor sits on a "committee". The committee collectively decides upon each candidate. They only review a complete "file". If you send them additional materials, it must be added to your file.</p>

<p>That's good to know. At least they don't use the point system (hopefully) that a lot of schools use.</p>
