Just wanted to know who else was part of the class of 10' in HS and is still on the path towards transfer?

Finally, whats your main motivation to transfer?

1) Yup

2) Not really sure…

Pretty sure 80% are part of class '10.

To get the hell out of CC and finally experience college. And move out so I dont have to live with parents anymore

not true, im class of 2009 and im 19. problems? And also i know somebody who just turn 18, going to transfer this year with 60+ units.

Meee!!! Class of 2010 Baby!

My motivation: Being able to wear a UC ________ sweatshirt and when people ask if I go there, I can finally say, “Oh yesss I do!” Instead of feeling stupid when I wear a college sweatshirt that I don’t attend :)

Hahaha. Same here… will be buying a sweater first thing when acceptances come out :D

Yess!!! I’ve been waiting for this moment for 2 years. It feels like forever. . . Once I get accepted, I’m allowing myself a $300 budget to spend in the school bookstore. I’ve already planned it out: 10 sweatshirts, 10+ tee shirts, 2 sweatpants, 5 stickers to put on my car, license plate frames, mugs, everything! (I’m a little crazy, I’m aware!) haha

Joxygirl, I definitely feel you on the sweatshirt thing… I have some that I totally wanna buy, crossing my fingers that I get in :)

well idk if this is cheesy… but our school theme for class of 2010 was “we may not have had it all together, but together we have it all”

Class of 10’!!!

@blackmamba, I hope that is a kb24 reference haha, but whats your major and what your dream school?

LOL!
Yep kb24 ftw. haha Im a bio major and hoping for UCLA or USC. what about you?

Class of '09 and turned 20 in September.

Just turned 19 last month!

I’ve been to a lot of transfer workshops and the like, and most people seem to be in their mid 20’s or older. Everyone talks about balancing their job and their families with school and I’m just sitting there feeling inadequate for not having all of the hardships and/or life experience other transfers have.

What are your guys’ 1st choice???

CalGal36, thats the way I feel like in most of my classes… when they ask me how old I am they just give me this weird look.

mamba, Econ. Hopefully I’ll get in to UCSD.

Whoo, class of 2010!

19 now, I’ll turn 20 before I transfer though.

Major - Cognitive Science, alt major - Psychology
TAG-approved for UCSC, and applying to UCM as well.

Hmm, my motivation to transfer is…I’d always intended to go to university, so it’s not like it’s motivation, really. It had always been in the plan. CC was just something that I had to do to save money and because the price for a UC education was way too much and so I could go to UCSC in the end (not sure if I will though, or not). Can’t wait to transfer and move away and grow up a little bit!
I’m excited about the living somewhere else part. Of course I love my family and friends, but I’m soooo excited about finally being able to be a little more “independent” and living by myself (technically with roommates, but you know what I’m talking about.)

And congrats to my fellow transfers this year! We’ve almost made it!

yes, though I’m class of '11.

class of 2010!

just motivated to prove others wrong and to show them that i can do what i aim for. and definitely the license plate and college sweater.

:)

i wanted to get a chaffey college license thing for the front of my car and a uc one for the back. I hate how everyone’s like ewww I hate cc but I have to be honest chaffey got me where I am and I’m going to miss it <3

ps 09 so fineee:p

mee~ class of 2010~~

well I want to

hurry up and have my own real college experience

meet new people

stop feeling horrible when people ask me where I go for college -__-

): but I’m not really looking forward to leaving my parents/brother/homecooked meals )’: … even though I know I’ll be back with them after I graduate~
