Hi! Don't know how many people are actually going to read this because the Muhlenberg discussion board looks pretty dead... but here goes anyway. Is anyone considering going to Muhlenberg? I'd be interested in talking about it. I am considering Muhlenberg, but honestly I'm waiting to hear from some other schools first. But I have thoroughly convinced myself that I won't get into those other schools, so I'm probably going to Muhlenberg. Don't get me wrong, I really like Muhlenberg (and I didn't apply to any schools that I didn't like/wouldn't go to) but I guess you might say it wasn't exactly my "dream" school. Anyway, if anyone wants to talk just post a message here!

Well, this is for my son, but he has been accepted both to M'berg and Loyola University/Chicago, and so far has equivalent academic scholorships from both schools. His planned major is Theatre, with a strong emphasis in Musical Theatre. He's struggling over which to choose - 'berg probably has the program that is more closely aligned to his interests, but it's away from "the city", while Loyola is in Chicago proper (but barely). Still waiting on admit info from Lehigh, but I still think it's between these two.

The big question is how close is the 'berg theatre faculty to really knowing folks in NYC, and do students get any/enough visibility as the progress through the program? I like 'berg's envrionment better, by far, but this is the challenge...

argh!
Theatre Mom from Iowa (but a 'berg alum...)

When did your son get his acceptance to Muhlenberg? We are still waiting to hear. I didn't think acceptances went out until April 1st.

We were out of town the week of our spring break, but it was there when we got back to Iowa on Saturday, 3/20 - but it probably arrived either the 19th or 20th. Most schools send things out in batches, I'm sure.

Good Luck!

Mine arrived on the 18th. Of course that doesn't mean anything, schools, in general, are weird about sending stuff.

I need some help. Who wants to give me pros/cons and tell me why I should go to Muhlenberg. I have a tough decision to make in the coming weeks.

Our D received her acceptance letter on March 18th, the day before her birthday! She will be majoring in musical theatre. It appears that Muhlenberg is an up and coming school for theatre. The facilities are beautiful and the faculity appears knowledgable. I would like to get some feedback from students in the theatre program. Also, what would a first year course load look like from a student at Muhlenberg, who has been through it?
