Who should sign as the Notary Public in and for the State of Texas for my Residency Affidavit?

Hello everyone!

I have attended high school in Texas since 2013. I am considering questions of establishing Texas residency. I’m troubled with the “Notary Public in and for the State of Texas” in the residency affidavit form.

I have no idea about who I should look for to sign as the “Notary Public in and for the State of Texas”.

Does anyone have similar experience?

A Notary Public is simply a person who is licensed by the state to attest to the signing of documents and other such official acts. It’s a fraud deterrent measure. Any office that sees a lot of document signing will have a notary such as banks and real estate or insurance offices. Some hang their shingle outside a place of business like copy centers or office service centers. There are even notaries that will come to you (for a fee).

The Notary Public must see you sign the form and then they certify and record it.
