I am applying to a summer program abroad involving 1) scientific research, and 2) traveling the country, learning more about its culture, etc.

The application asks for 3 letters of rec. I won several major awards for my research at the chemistry lab, so I definitely want to include that one. I really had a wonderful time at the medical school internship and my advisers there would have a lot to say about me both as a person and a young scientist.

I'm not sure if I should go with my history teacher or my science teacher. Both know me well. Though the latter is more familiar with my research involvement and skills, the former has a more well-rounded knowledge of who I am.

A) Science teacher familiar with my research, 2 research advisers at the university level (one is chemistry research, the other is medical research at a well-known hospital)
B) History teacher, 2 research advisers

So I'm not sure which to go with - focus on the science aspect of the program and send all 3 sciencey recs, or go with one non-science rec?

Not sure where to put this, so hopefully this is a good sub-forum. :)
