Most colleges don’t require interviews, but a lot of selective ones (Harvard and Brown) both STRONGLY recommend interviews. I’m really worried about my first interview next week so I think it would really help if we had a sub-forum to ask questions/share tips on the interview process. So, hopefully if we petition the mods will see this!
If you want the admins to take note, and you have enough interest, you should ask them about it here: [Community</a> & Forum Issues - College Confidential](<a href=“http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/community-forum-issues/]Community”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/community-forum-issues/) They might not see it otherwise.
As well, there’s a dedicated thread stickied in this subforum: <a href=“http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/246098-thread-college-interviews.html[/url]”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/246098-thread-college-interviews.html</a>
And usually, the subforums for the selective colleges are active enough that they respond quickly to questions about interviews.
Since interview questions are often seasonal, and may be specific to a school, it might be better to leave the system as-is. That way, the responses can be fine-tuned to the specific college, and may be more numerous since people frequent the college-specific forums to do more than just respond to questions about interviews.
That’s just my take on it, though.
On a similar issue, I think this forum should have a section dedicated to out-of-state transfers.
