THe trailer made me want to read the book.

I wish Scarlet letter was turning into a movie. It may make me want to read it more…

I’m more excited for the release of Frankenstein… I hear yo’ mamma’s playing the monster!

Ouch!

Kimmylouie, try “Easy A” Not exactly the same, of course, but that’s the closest you’ll get right now.

The version with Paul Rudd was casted most accurately, in my opinion.

Leo’s not fresh-faced enough, someone failed at their job when they picked an Australian actress to portray the all-American Daisy (What about Blake Lively? Reese Witherspoon?), the CGI was overdone, and Baz Luhrmann needs to stop. I love Kanye but they could have chosen Sinatra for the trailer.
He took the 1920s and barfed Las Vegas all over it.

I’m curious, though, to see how it does critically and in the 2013 awards season.

I saw the trailer and it looked amazing! I read the book this year. :)

I was thinking of the Scarlet Letter with Demi Moore who showers a lot (From easy A. LOLLL).

I love Easy A! It’s so funny. But sad at the end.

@Supine yeah, the music honestly threw me off quite a bit. Kinda ruined the whole trailer for me. Still excited though

I’m so excited I could explode.
It’s my favorite book of all time.

I know! My English teacher showed us the trailer. This probably sounds really nerdy, but all of my friends and I agreed that we would all go see it when it first comes out, since we all read it in English class this year. Lmao. :D

i love the book and i’ll probably end up seeing the movie because i love leo too, but it doesn’t look that great. it seems so unclassy compared to how i imagined it–more subtle and less in-your-face. maybe it was just the music.

Anyone excited for the part when Myrtle gets rammed by the car? :D

I saw the preview a few days ago, and I liked it. I was upset by that fact that George Clooney was not selected to act as Gatsby, but what are you going to do. I’m hoping that that it will be rate R, so that it can be good. Also, It made me see the 1974 make (not terrible).
