who's made it into more movies: harvard VS princeton

I don't know, but I'm guessing it is because filming movies is a big distraction that interferes with the normal functioning of the campus. Plus, Harvard and MIT are already famous enough. It's not like they need the publicity.

John Nash is still affiliated with the Mathematics Department at Princeton, with an office in Fine Hall.

P: Talented Mr. Ripley

Princeton: "The Perfect Score"- Although the actual campus isn't mentioned in the movie, if you look at the background of the scene where one of the characters calls his friend at the shop to order roses, you will notice that there are Princeton University banners in orange and black in the background.

So, one more for Princeton!

P: "IQ" and "Scent of a Woman"

I just saw the 40 Year Old Virgin, and saw a preview for "In Her Shoes". During one of the clips, the nerdy chick of the movie is wearing a Princeton T Shirt. Dunno if it counts.

P: something about mary; smaller mentions in cruel intentions, what lies beneath.

Major characters are Harvard grads:

A Few Good Men
American Psycho
Two Weeks Notice

courer - about the H not wanting publicity, perhaps. But isn't it true that they wanted to film 'Stealing Harvard' as Stealing Princeton, except P wouldn't let them? (just something I read on CC, correct me if I'm wrong)

To add to Pton - "IQ" "Scent of a Woman" "One True Thing" "One Life to Live" "Annapolis" "Insignificance"

If I'm remembering correctly, "Stealing Stanford" was originally meant to be "Stealing Stanford" but Stanford didn't allow them but I may be mistaken.

Hehe, well, here's a source supporting the "Stealing Princeton" :

"In all of these productions, there have been two notable "near misses." The first of these is "The Interpreter," with Nicole Kidman, which was to be shot in the Woodrow Wilson School, though in the end the crew decided to shoot at another location. Second, the office rejected the proposal for a movie called "Stealing Princeton." One might note the eventual release of a moderately-popular film entitled "Stealing Harvard.""

Apparently there is a list of restrictions and requirements prospective film producers have to meet when they ask to film at Princeton (and probably most other campuses).

""MTV has tried to do a lot of stuff with us, and we've had to reject it. Even if they were willing to pay for it, it would not be worth the disruption," said Robinson-Brown."

Darn.
