Why am I scheduled to take the same apparent class with a different course number?

I couldn’t find an appropriate section to ask this so posting it here. I also can’t get an answer from my college unless I schedule an appointment 3+ weeks from now which is pretty useless for just one question.

Last semester(Spring 2018) I took a health class(HLP1081) which I was supposed to take according to my educational plan, and that same plan has me scheduled to take HLP1081C this Fall 2018 semester. Now I know a course with the same number but with a letter at the end usually means a lab, but it doesn’t make sense to me why there would be any kind of lab for a health class, and why I didn’t take them during the same semester. Also, I was able to register for the class but it had a message telling me that I had already passed the class. In this past class, we already did both the class and physical workout parts so I’m not sure what is supposed to happen in this next class. Another thing is that I looked up the classes on my college site, and the descriptions, credit hours, etc. are literally the exact same. The only difference is the course numbers. I know I will probably just have to end up asking an advisor at my college, but figured I would ask here in case anyone can help.

Here is a link to the list of health courses, if you click on both of the classes you will see that the info is literally the same http://www.broward.edu/zext/ext/DepartmentCourseList.jsp?Name=PEL

According to this, pg. 240, http://www.broward.edu/catalog/20172018%20Catalog/2017.2018%20College%20Catalog%20(Final)%20(8.28.17).pdf:
"The “C” represents a combined lecture and laboratory course that meets in the same
place at the same time. "

No idea why your plan tells you to take both. You should talk to an advisor, but my guess is its a mistake.

Contact your adviser asap.
