<p>meh I treat Harry Potter as canon till OotP then I like it to diverge. Harry in HBP annoyed me so I like when he’s INdependent/grey!harry. I don’t mind a mildly manipulative!Dumbles but I don’t like it when the characters are sooo out of character that it’s unbelievable. I love reading AUs where Harry gets a clue and starts training but it’s through a believable catalyst and he (and everyone else) stays true to their base character only changing because of that catalyst event. If you get what I mean? I quite like when Harry goes to a new school too if it’s well writen. Have you read CHanges in a Time of War by Miranda Flairgold? It started out very good but when Harry was no longer remotely recognizable as a person and no longer beared his name-I stopped reading. If you want to write original fiction write it not FF. One thing I hate in other fandom when there are non humans is AH. I mean what makes the books is that these characters aren’t humsn, you can’t change that without changing the character beyond belief. I do love fanfiction though especially HP because I think JK did an AMAZING job but that because it was mainly a kids book she left many stones unturned and left heaps of stuff open. HBP and DH annoyed me although I don’t blame JK for them. THe epilogue was horrific! Do you read any other fandoms? Sorry for the rant lol.</p>

<p>I started off when I first started reading FF as a HP/GW shipper but then I went off it… I"ve never shipped Draco with anyone just because except for a friendship when Harry is in Slytherin/grows up dark I’ve never been a fan of reading about him. It’s not a conscious decision or anything, I’m just not attracted to DRaco centric fics. Have any of you got your own FF? I do

<p>Homg, me too! OotP is like my canon jump off point. I mean I like the post-DH fics that talk about stuff right after the war, but HBP…was not a favorite book, haha. I like Independent Harry but not so much dark!harry, cuz people tend to get really overboard and unrealistic with him. </p>
<p>I’ve HEARD of the Miranda Flairgold one, but never got aroudn to reading it. Like, I saw it on a bunch of peoples favorite lists but it never really caught my attention, haha. But yeah, I totally know what you mean. And I’m also a total sucker for dimension stories where Harry meets his parents in a different dimension alive (homg I feel like such a nerdd right now…yesss). I’m pretty sure I’ve read like every dimension-travel fic on FF.</p>
<p>Yeah, the best thing about the HP fandom is that JK left a whole world for us to explore in. Although the epilogue was HORRIBLE. I was like ‘NO WHAT HAVE YOU DONNNNE’ although I liked Teddy. And Victoire, hahahaa. </p>

<p>I’ve never meet anyone who reads Fanfiction before so this is awesome. I’m not a fan of super dark harry but I like a grey Harry who isn’t afraid to kill DE in harsh circumstances. I don’t like OVer-Over powered harry that annoys me. I very really read post DH mainly because I dislike HBP and DH but also I can’t really relate to harry the family man. I LOVE Harry relives his life timetravel fics! I’ve read basically everyone there is. As for fandoms I mainly read HP and Southern Vampire Mysterries (definetly not twilightesque)… I have read some Narnia, Alex Rider and I tried some Naruto but it never really clicked (plus I never made it very far into Naruto, I got bored). I had this weird phase where I read HP/Twilight Crossovers over the summer for the sheer ridiculousness of them. I like Hary childhood fics where he discovers magic andstuff. I’ve read a lot of Snape childhood fics for some reason.</p>
<p>Harry the family man is all buff and responsible and…WEIRDDD. But nervous papparazzi-hounded post-DH Harry is always fun to read about >D And timetravel fics! I used to LIVE on those. Read nearly all the popular ones. </p>

<p>I am so nerdy it’s not even funny. When people gossip about me (I can will myself invisible nobody notices my presence) they refer to me as ‘That weird nerdy chick with the accent.’</p>

<p>Hahaha, I’m not ani-social or anything, I have friends and I’m not insensitive like some smart arses at school but I see no reason to not be myself. If they can’t handle that then that says something about them not me. It makes me laugh actually, some kid was teasing me about my HP tee-shirt and telling me to get a life lol and then 2 days later in English class we were choosing IB attributes and in all honesty she chooses ‘open minded’ and ‘caring’ because she cares about the feelings of others and she doesn’t judge people. I had to stop myself from laughing and yet she truly believed what she was saying. Do I not count as a person, does she only count people she’s comfortable with in her circle of friends or does she have such a poor self perception? Sorry for ranting; I seem to rant a lot on CC which I swear is not something I normally ever do.</p>
